Coming on the heels of the wide critical acclaim collected from her 2022 album, Surrender, Maggie Rogers is kicking off 2023 by bringing the album on the road. Rogers has a long road ahead of her as this current tour has her on the road until August with a small break in the tour happening after March. She kicked things off this weekend (February 9-11) with a three-day residency at Roadrunner in Boston. These shows seemingly continue her Feral Joy tour that had the artist traversing Europe in the Fall of last year.
All three of the setlists from this past weekend are identical as Rogers covers almost her entire songbook in just one night. She played the entirety of her Surrender album while still keeping a healthy balance of old material as well. Classics from her debut album like “Alaska” and “Fallingwater” made an appearance over the weekend and even “Dog Years” from Rogers’ 2017 EP, Now That the Light Is Fading, got played early on in the show. Rogers also welcomed Del Water Gap, who also opened these shows, to the stage to perform “New Song” from her 2020 compilation Notes from the Archive: Recordings 2011-2016.
Rogers is setting out to Washington D.C. next for a two-day stay at The Anthem starting on February 13. She then travels to New York City, Chicago, Atlanta, and the rest of the U.S. until early March. Check out the full setlist, tour dates, and footage from this weekend’s shows below:
