“Aloneness” is my attempt at a bouncy, half-time, 70s country rocker. I was channeling Prine and I even offered a little lyrical wink in his direction in the final chorus. I also told our guitarist to go bananas on the Waylon-esque phaser effect. Lyrically, it addresses the very real human desire and necessity to seek solitude (in moderation) as a means to recharge the spirit. It’s literally three chords and the truth, all the while clocking in at under three minutes. Punk to the bone,” says principal songwriter, Colin Halliburton.
