For those of you longing for the bygone music eras of yesteryear and legends that have long since
passed, each Tuesday we’ll take a trip down memory lane by spotlighting some classic performances
from the 60s/70s/80s/90s to help scratch your nostalgia itch.
Today we’re paying tribute to the late great David Bowie, who would have celebrated his 77th birthday yesterday (1/8) if he were still with us. This clip captures Bowie at the peak of his brilliant Berlin-era trilogy of albums (Low/Heroes/Lodger) performing perhaps his best song from that infamously avant-garde period. It’s one of the most celebrated songs in his entire catalog, a poignantly powerful tune about war-torn lovers dreaming of a better tomorrow (which is sadly all too relevant these days).
