On the heels of a sold-out tour, an acclaimed third studio album, Middle, and his late-night television debut, Jesse Welles announces his “Meet You In The Middle” tour of the United States and the EU/UK. Tickets for his previous tour sold out immediately and, on this tour, Welles will perform in cities including Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Dublin, London, and Berlin. Tickets for all dates will go on sale to the general public here on Friday, May 16th at 10am local with several presales available, info here. Welles today announces his performance at Farm Aid on September 20 and will also make his debut at Newport Folk Festival this year. Tickets for all current dates are available here.

Jesse Welles continues to live up to his title as the prolific poet of the woods, and has released two new songs, “Friends” and “Life Is Good.” The two songs follow his third studio album, Middlewhich was produced by Eddie Spear (Sierra Ferrell, Zach Bryan), and continues the songwriter’s singular unbridled creativity and gift for writing songs that speak truth to power with a plain-spoken and clear-eyed delivery. Rolling Stone calls his writing “wickedly sharp” and he has earned comparisons to his heroes, Dylan, Prine, and Guthrie.

Welles also recently released Under The Powerlines (April 24 – September 24), a 63-song collection of recent field and live recordings which initially appeared on social media platforms, including live versions of his songs “War Isn’t Murder,” “Fentanyl,” and  Walmart”. The album also includes covers of songs by Welles’s heroes including John Prine’s “Angel from Montgomery,” Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” and The Rolling Stones’s “Wild Horses”.
