With Thanksgiving only a few days away, this week we’ll be spotlighting some classic Thanksgiving performances from yesteryear to help whet your appetite for the delightfully gluttonous and communal holiday. And for today’s Manic Monday, we’re shining a light on The Rolling Stones’ epic run at Madison Square Garden in New York City from November 1969. The band played a total of 3 shows at MSG (one of which on Thanksgiving night), with material from those performances featured heavily in the classic concert documentary “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out!”, released the following year in 1970. Today we’re spotlighting their opening number from “The Breakfast Show” (the earlier of their two same-day performances on November 28th), which came courtesy of the always fun “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”.
