5th Annual Langerado Set For March 9-11

Today, South Florida’s premier music festival announces its fifth annual event. Known for kicking off festival season each March by attracting thousands of music lovers from all over the country to sunny South Florida – this year Langerado will expand to three full days of music on March 9, 10, and 11, 2007.

Voted “Best Music Festival” by South Florida’s New Times and City Link magazines, the 5th Annual Langerado Music Festival will offer three full days of music. Gates will open at 11am with music lasting until 10pm each day. Located at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida for the third year in a row, the festival boasts multiple stages, food and crafts vendors including an extensive selection of micro-brewed beers, an expanded kid’s area, limited on-site camping and more. In addition, Langerado will host a variety of late night shows at various theatres and clubs throughout Ft. Lauderdale.

Reputed for gathering a diverse collection of today’s hottest artists, 2007’s Langerado Music Festival promises another eclectic musical line-up sure to please all music fans. Between 1972 and 1982, Garcia recorded five historic studio albums and jammed with a revolving cast of musicians in the Jerry Garcia Band. Rhino/J. Garcia Records salute the rich talents of an incomparable music icon with the first-ever compilation spotlighting Garcia’s solo work. Willie Nelson Cited For Marijuana and Mushrooms On Tour Bus

Willie Nelson, his sister and several members of the artist’s band were issued misdemeanor citations for drug possession early today (Sept. 18) during a traffic stop in Saint Martin Parish, La. The traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 10 near Breaux Bridge.

Trooper Willie Williams says troopers smelled a strong odor of marijuana when the driver opened the bus door. During a search of the bus, Williams says approximately 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana and approximately 1/5 of a pound of mushrooms were located.
