We have learned that Warren Haynes’ longtime guitar tech, Brian Farmer, has passed away. Farmer was always on the road with Haynes throughout his various projects including Gov’t Mule, The Dead and The Allman Brothers Band. Farmer in fact was often confused with Haynes over the years as he shared a physical resemblance to him.
Gov’t Mule announced the sad news with the following message, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of longtime crew member Brian Farmer. We will have a full statement shortly #ThankYouFarmer.”
Brian Farmer started in the music business in college, running sound at local venues to help out his brother. And when he left school, he took a job at a guitar shop doing repair work. Before getting his current gig with Warren, Brian worked with many music greats, including Mary Stewart, June Carter, and Johnny Cash. He has now worked with Warren for over a decade.
