Tom Morello Names New Band Street Sweeper

Tom Morello has announced a new musical project entitled Street Sweeper.

Morello has joined forces with Boots Riley of Oakland hip-hop act The Coup to form the band, who recently completed work on their debut album. The have also landed the opening slot of a forthcoming summer tour with Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction.

According to Morello, Street Sweeper‘s sound features "huge steamroller riffs combined with depth, charge, funk".
