We’re a bit saddened to report that Carrie Brownstein will be stepping down from her blogging duties at NPR’s Monitor Mix to pursue a number of different projects, which include a sketch comedy show for IFC, writing her second book and getting back into playing live music with her new band WILD FLAG. We’ve come to love Ms. Brownstein’s musings on everything from the Beard Rock movement to her favorite camp songs to her valiant effort to embrace all things Phish. Yesterday, Carrie published her final post, explaining her decision and promising that she will pop up from time to time on NPR’s All Songs Considered. We here at HT want to wish her the best of luck, and will miss her insightful take on the world of music.
