The Flaming Lips and The Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band Lead Inaugural Nateva Music & Camping Festival

This Fourth of July weekend, music fans will have something new to sing about when the inaugural Nateva Music & Camping Festival takes over the Oxford Fairgrounds in Oxford, Maine – forever changing New England’s summer entertainment landscape. On July 2, 3, and 4, the scenic, 100+ acre site will play host to the ultimate festival experience as up to 15,000 music-loving campers flock to the area to take in world-class bands and all the sights, sounds and entertainment that the Festival has to offer.

Event organizers announced three-time Grammy Award winners "The Flaming Lips" and "The Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band," as featured artists. The event headliners and more featured artists will be announced over the next several weeks. The Festival will bring dozens of the world’s most acclaimed bands together with accomplished and up-and-coming jam, country, folk, reggae, classic rock, bluegrass and indie artists to perform on multiple stages during the intimate, three-day spectacle.

Discounted weekend passes with and without camping ($179/159) are on sale now, exclusively at NatevaFestival.com. A limited number of VIP packages ($425) featuring special viewing platforms, preferred parking, camping, dining, a full-service bar, and more are also available.

"We’re proud to create an event that will bring world-class bands together in northern New England," said Frank Chandler, Chief Executive of Nateva Music & Camping Festival. "’The Flaming Lips’ and ‘The Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band’ are just the beginning; these are two exciting acts that demonstrate our commitment to provide top-notch music at Nateva. With only 15,000 tickets on sale, fans who are accustomed to seeing bands of this caliber play in larger stadiums and arenas will have the opportunity to witness them perform in a more intimate setting."

The Nateva Music & Camping Festival will travel beyond the music – offering an energetic and entertaining environment for attendees, with art installations, stilt-walkers, magicians, jugglers, late-night stages, a wide array of food, and a host of activities throughout the weekend-long event.

Those who purchase a Weekend Pass (With Camping), and wish to get settled at the Oxford Fairgrounds early to make the most of the celebratory weekend, can arrive on-site anytime after 5 pm on Thursday, July 1 and enjoy an additional evening of music for a small per-car fee payable at the door. For those festival-goers who do not wish to camp, event organizers are arranging discounted hotel packages and shuttle bus services.

Located just two hours and 25 minutes from Boston and only 45 minutes from Portland, Maine, the 100+ acre Oxford Fairgrounds features electricity, water, bathrooms, 150 RV hook-ups, shower trucks, free WIFI, flat land, plenty of shade and easy access to Route 26.
