Woodstock Creator Announces Imagine Music & Arts Festival For Toronto

Torontoist reports that plans are afoot for a massive two-day festival at Downsview Park that aims to combine the biggest concert the city has ever seen—expected attendance is 350,000 people each day, with 300 million watching around the world—with an effort to let G20 leaders know they need to try harder to change the world for the better.

This summer, Artie Kornfeld, one of the promoters of the original Woodstock Music Festival, and artist David Kam have announced plans for a brand new Toronto based music festival called The Imagine Music & Arts Festival. The festival is inspired by John Lennon’s song of the same name and his message of peace and love along with 1969’s original Woodstock Festival, will be staged at Downsview Park for three days this summer.
