Danger Mouse’s collaboration album with Mark ‘Sparklehorse‘ Linkous and David Lynch is to get an official release after the DJ/producer settled a legal wrangle with his label EMI.
‘Dark Night Of The Soul’, which features Iggy Pop, The Strokes‘ Julian Casablancas and Super Furry Animals‘ Gruff Rhys, was made available online last year through peer-to-peer sites and not released legitimately because of an "ongoing dispute" between Danger Mouse (real name Brian Burton) and the label. Now Burton has said the dispute is resolved, and the album will receive an official release.
