Ryan Bingham & T-Bone Burnett Win Best Song Oscar

The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart)" by Ryan Bingham and T-Bone Burnett from the movie "Crazy Heart" was named best original song at the 82nd annual Academy Awards Sunday night.

It was the first win for both; Burnett previously was nominated alongside Elvis Costello for "Scarlet Tide" from "Cold Mountain" in 2004.  Bingham thanked his wife during his speech, saying he loved her "more than rainbows."

Earlier this year the duo won the Golden Globe for the same song.

The best original song nominees were presented via film clip Sunday night, instead of the traditional live performances. For the first time since 1943, ten films were nominated for best picture, and the presentation of the clips for all the films in contention apparently created a time crunch during the show.
