Fans attending Chicago’s Lollapalooza festival will find it has grown a bit since last year, adding 35 acres which is expected to boost attendance by 20,000 per day.
Geographically, this means the western border of the area Lollapalooza occupies will move further into Grant Park, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, which said the festival’s other boundaries will remain the same.
Evidently size does matter when it comes to a successful Lollapalooza. The festival maxed out at 75,000 daily attendance during the last two years. Expanding the western border could boost daily numbers up to 95,000, which works out to 20,000 extra tickets per day.
