Dweezil Zappa has announced a 38-city, North American fall tour, part of his yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of Freak Out!, the debut from Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. The tour begins with two LA-area dates at the Coach House (Sept 29) and Canyon Club (Sept 30) and includes October 30 at the Beacon Theater in NYC. Tickets will be on sale July 15th….
Dweezil is now touring under his birth name, following a claim of alleged “trademark violation” from his brother Ahmet Zappa, head of the Zappa Family Trust, who controls the trademark to Dweezil’s long-running, Grammy winning project, Zappa Plays Zappa.
