Jack White Announces First Ever Headlining Dates

Jack White will play a handful of performances in March without The Raconteurs or The Dead Weather or Meg White. The gigs are being billed as his first ever headline shows.

The musician/songwriter/record producer and sometimes actor starts his solo tour with a March 10 gig in Chattanooga, Tenn., at Track 29.

The rest of the headline dates are scheduled the following week – March 12 in Birmingham, Ala., at WorkPlay Soundstage; March 13 in Memphis at New Daisy Theatre; and March 15 in Tulsa, Okla., at Cain’s Ballroom.

White’s spring schedule features three previously announced festival appearances. He’s playing Hangout Music Fest in Gulf Shores, Ala.; Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Wash.; and BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend in London.

White is releasing his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, April 24 on his own Third Man Records label. His self-directed video for the tune “Love Interruption” will premier Tuesday at VEVO.com. The single and video feature back-up vocalist Ruby Amanfu, clarinet/bass clarinet player Emily Bowland and Brooke Waggoner on wurlitzer electric piano.

Tickets for White’s new headline shows go on sale to the general public Friday, Feb. 17 at 12 p.m. Central Time. Vault members will have the chance to purchase a limited number of pre-sale tickets beginning Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 12 p.m. Central Time.
