ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons brought his signature beard along with a new band outfit on tour this autumn in support of his new album The Big Bad Blues. Gibbons hit Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse on November 7th and the show featured a few ZZ Top staples along with some signature blues covers and some of the guitarists’ own material. Gibbons was backed drummer Matt Sorum (Guns ‘N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), guitarist Austin Hanks, and DJ/harmonica player Elwood Francis (who is also ZZ Top’s guitar tech. )Photos by Ian Rawn.
