King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard has announced yet another record, their 15th (!) in the past 7 years. A sonic blast of furious thrash metal, Infest The Rats’ Nest, will be released on ATO/Flightless Records on August 16th and pre-order for the album will be available beginning July 9th at ATO’s webstore.
Infest The Rats’ Nest features the band’s two recently heavy singles “Self-Immolate” and “Planet B”, both of which were accompanied by dark, violent John Angus Stewart-directed videos. The new tracks are evidence that Infest the Rat’s Nest will take a distinctly different tack to the band’s recently released album, Fishing For Fishies, which came out on Flightless and ATO Records in late April 2019. That album ended up at #1 on Billboard’s Tastemaker Albums Chart and #2 on the Heatseeker and Vinyl Albums Charts.
King Gizzard will embark on a massive North American tour in August, including dates at LA’s Greek Theatre, Central Park SummerStage in NYC and Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. Tickets for all dates are now on-sale and all tour dates are below.
