Willie Nelson and Legacy Recordings are celebrating Mother’s Day 2020 with the premiere of “I’m The Only Hell My Mama Ever Raised,” a new lyric video (featuring vintage Mother’s Day cards) showcasing a rollicking musical performance from Willie’s forthcoming studio album First Rose of Spring. “I’m The Only Hell My Mama Ever Raised” can be heard below…

Penned by country music songsmiths Wayne Kemp, Bobby Borchers & Mack Vickery, “I’m The Only Hell My Mama Ever Raised” became a Top 10 country single for Johnny Paycheck in 1977 and has been recorded by George Jones, Hank Williams III and others. The song’s tailormade for Willie Nelson, who makes the country outlaw anthem his own on First Rose of Spring out Friday, July 3.
