Atomic Bronco is a retro-inspired yet decidedly modern indie/alt rock act from London. The creation of producer and songwriter Kyle Nuss, Atomic Bronco blends an interesting mix of indie, alternative, garage rock, lo-fi and classic rock. The one-man rock band is originally from the heart of rural America, but now makes guitar driven music in his East London studio.
The debut album from Atomic Bronco, Nightflowers was written, performed, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered solely by Nuss in his London studio. With influences ranging from classic and alternative rock to house and dance music, Nightflowers is the culmination of Nuss’ music making journey, which has included stops along the way performing in cover bands, DJing at night clubs, and dropping into open mic nights. With Atomic Bronco, he has found the vehicle to take his music to the next level, and the future is bright for this budding producer, songwriter, and performer.
Glide is premiering Atomic Bronco’s contagiously bluesy new single “Cruel.” Combining a sly delivery and crunching guitars, Atomic Bronco excels at the one-two punch of hooks and style. There is a ragged Black Keys type execution here where lo-fi command merges with a primal guitar, drums and vocal attack.
“Cruel is a song with an attitude that I wish I could harness in real life. It combines my love of grungy and fuzzed out guitars with a laid back groove that keeps things from going off the rails. I think this song is a great first taste of what’s to come on my upcoming Spectrum EP, and really sets the tone for what the journey of that EP will be.”
