vireo is a home recording project started by Chris Beaulieu in Pittsburgh, PA. The music is saturated in Chris’s musings on the natural world; his writing/recording process engages in the ancient task of translating one’s bodily experience of exploration into language. Now performing as a four-piece band, the ramshackle collective offer live shows that ebb & flow between moments of gentle melodies and bombastic, frenetic energy.
On their latest single “Coyote”, Pittsburgh’s vireo brings the dynamic, oscillating energy of their live shows to the studio with a concise arrangement of acoustic instruments, alternative percussion and front porch sing-a-long style vocal harmonies.
