The slow and steady rise of the uniqueness of Gabriels has been exciting to watch for day-one fans. The three-piece took it one step further by performing on The Late Late Show with James Cordon on Wednesday (October 12). They performed the danceable title track from their 2022 debut album Angels & Queens – Part I. A follow-up is soon expected but for now, the 7-song album has enough textures and outstanding vocal performances from lead singer Jacob Lusk to keep current fans happy and new fans flowing in.
Gabriels is a name that more people are starting to recognize but soon enough will be one that no one can forget. The trio has been creeping their way into playlists since their 2018 debut single “Loyalty” and are now on the cusp of becoming stars. Their 2021 EP, Love and Hate in a Different Time drew even more fans to their eclectic sound. Since then their star keeps getting brighter as their songs begin to get major radio play at the BBC, opening up for Harry Styles on tour, and now performing for a global audience on The Late Late Show.
The performance was theatrical and sounded flawless. Lusk stood center stage in a full tuxedo as background dancers paraded around, moving as one like a wave to add an extra layer of glam. Nothing could distract from the Lusk’s vocals though, they’re magnetizing and when performed live there is a certain rawness to them that adds even more flavor.
