LISTEN: Gregory Ackerman Keeps It Sweet & Simple On Intimate “Loving Hours”

They say it only takes two or three minutes to make a number-one song, and we guess Gregory Ackerman took that as a challenge with his new track “Loving Hours.” The sweet and simple instrumentation along with his calm intimate vocal performance is enough to keep you around from the get-go, but as the catchy lyricless hook and horns enter you’ll likely be coming back for more. When all you can ask from a song is for it to just go on a little longer it must be a keeper. Go give “Loving Hours” a handful of listens and keep an eye out for more from Gregory Ackerman.

“Whimsical, organic, short & sweet. A reminder to keep on going even when the going gets rough, and to appreciate the moments where you feel safe and secure in the company of loved ones, even when the world feels like it’s falling apart around you. Also, a reminder to slow down and take some time for yourself to assess how you feel. You don’t have to give up, just reset your mind,” says Ackerman.

“Produced by Dillon Casey at Verdugo sound, we recorded drums, bass, acoustic, and vocals in one live take, I wanted to capture the live band feel, which I think comes across well. I wanted this song to sound as natural as possible. I wanted the finished, mixed product to sound nearly as we had recorded it live. It’s a slightly uplifting groove but with some more serious content of working through tough emotions in order to feel present and loved.”
