In what seems like a well-deserved, never-ending victory lap for the legendary Wilco, the band took the stage last night (3/29) on Late Night with Seth Meyers for a performance of “Tired of Taking It Out On You”. The track is lifted from their critically acclaimed Cruel Country LP which was released last year and more recently got its official debut on vinyl. Their gentle performance of the country ballad gives fans a small preview of what to expect on their recently-started world tour which kicked off with a three-day residency in Chicago just last week.

Much like the rest of Cruel Country, Wilco’s performance was heartfelt. The no-frills approach to the stage only added to the weeping twang of the guitars and the stomach-turning honesty of the lyrics. After only a week on the road, Wilco has already gotten back into the grooves of live performance, check out their full performance of “Tired of Taking It Out On You” below:

Along with a stirring performance, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy sat down with Meyers to exchange pleasant stories. The two discussed Tweedy’s history with the show’s resident drummer Fred Armisen, his time covering the Black Eyed Peas, and much more. You can watch their full conversation below:
