Lotta Wenglén has a long career as a well-credentialed artist, songwriter, and producer with her own Record Label Margit Music. She has toured with Whiskeytown, Chip Taylor, Rosie Thomas and has played in a lot of bands such as Blind Lake and Dollykollot. She was one of the five women portrayed in the documentary film “I’m my own Dolly Parton” alongside Nina Persson from The Cardigans.
“Time Just Slipped Away” from Wenglén is a warm, smoky ballad whose lyrics bring about a profound sense of sentimentality one would find in the heart of the American songbook. Combining the lyrical phrasing of Willie Nelson with the sophistication and arrangement of Leonard Cohen, “Time Just Slipped Away” is a slow burn worthy of many repeat listens. Her latest EP, Stardust and Debris is out now.
