LISTEN: Nathaniel Paul Drops Hook Laden Indie Pop Groove On “We Can’t Keep Running Away”

Nathaniel Paul – (Musician, Singer-Songwriter, Filmmaker, Producer, and Multi-Instrumentalist) was born in Michigan City, IN, and grew up in South Bend, IN. After moving to NYC early in his career, he began touring full-time with The Bergamot. His work in film began with music video production and evolved into a feature Documentary called “State of the Unity” that won at over 20 film festivals including the Grand Jury Award and Best Feature Documentary at the Las Cruces International Film Festival 2023 and includes a fully Original Score. The film will be shown at the Chinese Theatre this fall – a historical moment for the film. His musical background is in classical guitar. He writes and performs all of the elements of his productions.

The new single “We Can’t Keep Running Away” from Paul is a hook laden indie pop groove that will be sure to turn heads now that it’s out in the world. Beautifully and calculatingly composed, the track is something to think about as much as dance to, giving plenty to look forward to from Paul’s upcoming sophomore album coming out this autumn on AWAL.

“During the writing of this song, I was spending a lot of time thinking about death. How it leaves a void in your life. So in retrospect, the mistakes that we make are really insignificant when it comes to this perspective. Just working it all out in the lyrics – or at least trying to.”
