Fuzzy vocals, droning grooves, and a pure dose of rock and roll make up the latest single “Order!” from psych rockers Kangaroo Court. Playing in odd time signatures is no great feat, but playing in them seamlessly to the point where they feel natural is an art form that the band masters on this hook-laden blaster in 7/4. The band is set to release their debut album “This is Kangaroo Court” on October 6th, complete with a theatrical, immersive set for the album release show the same day at Chicago’s legendary Lincoln Hall.
“Originally this song did not have the chant section as the chorus. We were inspired by seeing bands like King Gizzard and Snapped Ankles live at Desert Daze festival, and felt that the song needed something to up the intensity,” says the band.
