With a name like The Wheel Workers, one would think the band would be rooted in either rust belt punk or overall laden Americana. But think again. This Texas-based underground indie music collective has been putting forth their brainy art rock that touches somewhere between the sonic and not-so-sonic worlds of Okkervill River, the Flaming Lips and New Pornographers.
While the band’s work ethic is unsurpassed, they have found kindred creative spirits in artis T Lavois Thiebaud who designed the album artwork for their 2022 album Harbor. The album is getting its official vinyl release today (9/22). And with that special date, comes the official release of the video for the title track that Glide is premiering below. The video was written, and directed by Thiebaud who also stars in the video. This is one of the more professional videos we’ve come across here at Glide as this masterful song and video certainly deserves a big-screen debut of its own.
The Wheel Workers will be hosting a video release show at 1810 Ojeman in Houston on September 23rd – head here for more details.
