SONG PREMIERE: Justin Webb & The Noise Cook Up Gritty Hard Rock With “A Rose To Chew On” Off Debut Album ‘Stupid Young’ Out 10/4

Justin Webb & The Noise is a new band crashing the modern indie scene with a deep passion for creating pure rock music, and in an age where fusing different sonic landscapes is easier than ever, this is a refreshing approach. The band comprised veterans from the rock scene, including Webb, who performs vocals/guitar; Ben Moore, who plays co-lead guitar; and Will Pettus, who all performed with We Were The States. Drummer Bryan Moore and bassist BJay Moore, Ben’s Brothers, round out the lineup for this new Webb-led project. After introducing the world to their danceable and nostalgic take on rock with “Stupid Young,” the band sets their sights on a proper debut record.

Justin Webb & The Noise will release their debut album, Stupid Young, on October 4 via Chicken Ranch Records. Along with the album announcement, Glide has the world premiere of “A Rose To Chew On,” the latest single from the band’s upcoming LP. Ben Folds bassist Jared Reynolds and engineer Joe Costa produced the album for the band, and the latest single gives us a hint at the expansive direction they took Justin Webb & The Noise. “A Rose To Chew On” is a warping rock ballad that begins with a slow burn before exploding into blistering rock that evokes the feeling of classic rock without sounding like it is plucked directly from the era. The band is leading the charge on this revival of authentic rock by bringing the tropes and nuances rock fans have been looking for into modern times rather than camouflaging into an already familiar sound.

“I’m pretty sure we used the first take of ‘A Rose to Chew On.’ We were locked in at that point, explains Webb. “It was the middle of the day, and we tracked seven of our songs that day all together in one room. No click – just feeling everything out. We had found ourselves wanting to end every practice with ‘A Rose To Chew On’ because we all love playing it so much. The song itself had probably transformed the most of all our songs since its demo days. I remember the feeling in the room, just pure energy.”

With one eye on their love for 70’s rock ballads and the other on edgy alt-rock, Justin Webb & The Noise are carving their rightful heavy name with Stupid Young. You can pre-order the album here and listen to “A Rose To Chew On” below.
