Tuesday’s Gone: The Specials Get Decked Out For “Do Nothing” Live ‘Top of the Pops’ 1980

Are you allowed to listen to Two-tone ska in December? Of fucking course, you are! Especially when it’s a classic live performance by The Specials on Top of the Pops from way back in December of 1980. Here we find the band performing one of their all-time best songs, the pensive “Do Nothing.” The fact everyone is fully decked out in their ghastly Christmas sweaters helps give this deceptively downtrodden tune a little extra holiday warmth. In any event, a great performance, regardless of the season. R.I.P. Terry Hall.
