Vocalist Jagg delivers a headspinning, borderline veteran-level performance with flows and braggadocious rhyme schemes that seem to just fall out of his mind, as if these face-melting bars were loose change. Producer AWS creates a beautiful, slightly psychedelic instrumental that keeps a low profile while maintaining a multitude of bouncy melodies that collide together for an explosion of expressive individuality. Together, Pink Jagg aims at the modern Hip-hop scene and its lack of creativity. Thankfully, the duo has enough of it to go around. “American Spirit” is a warning shot to a burgeoning scene, a threat that if everyone else doesn’t step it up, Pink Jagg will happily take their place.
