Rounding out our salute to Ozzy Osbourne this week, it’s probably fair to say that his reputation as heavy-metal’s preeminent “wildman” (for lack of a better term) over the years proceeded him. Granted he really played-up that persona in the early 80s in particular, as we all know the antics, the stories, etc.. But what stands out the most about Ozzy’s personality was his, let’s call it “distinctive” brand of hilarity. Indeed, the dude was naturally comedic (often unintentionally), but whatever the case, there are countless clips out there of Ozzy being fucking hilarious (mostly from his infamous realty-TV-era, but nonetheless). That said, not many folks have seen this truly batshit (pardon the pun) interview from 1982. Ozzy may look remarkably clean-cut here, but his trademark eccentricities can’t help but steal the show as usual. A true entertainer, in every sense of the word, he will be missed. R.I.P.:
