B List: Just The Guitarists And Only The Guitarists

5. Bob Weir and Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead – Ripple

Instead of showing you the When I Paint My Masterpiece from the Late Show with David Letterman that usually get played when someone mentions Bobby and Jerry performances, we’re going with a pretty version of Ripple from the 1988 Bridge School Benefit in Oakland.

6. Michael Houser and John Bell of Widespread Panic – Driving Song

I’ll admit it, I teared up watching this clip of the late Michael Houser performing Driving Song on a porch with fellow Widespread Panic guitarist John Bell. This video comes from the severely underrated 2002 documentary The Earth Will Swallow You. If you dig Panic and haven’t seen it, you’re missing out.

7. Lo Faber and Aaron Maxwell of God Street Wine – Mile By Mile + Nightingale

God Street Wine guitarists Lo Faber and Aaron Maxwell have followed up the band’s 2010 reunion with a regular schedule of acoustic duo shows. There’s plenty of great clips on YouTube, but we went with this pairing of GSW classics Mile by Mile and Nightingale.
