8. Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett of Little Feat – Dixie Chicken
Current Little Feat guitarists Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett often perform acoustic duo shows together when the band is off the road. Paul and Fred rework Little Feat classics and other tunes they like playing together for intimate crowds across the country. Fred usually straps on the mando for most songs, but we did come across this clip of the two rockin’ Dixie Chicken on guitars.
9. David Lowery and Johnny Hickman of Cracker – Teen Angst
The two founding members of the band Cracker, Johnny Hickman and David Lowery, often team up for acoustic performances of covers, Cracker’s best-known tunes and even a few tracks from Lowery’s old band – Camper Van Beethoven. We went with this clip of Teen Angst, the alt-rock hit from Cracker’s 1991 debut.
10. Mark Olson and Gary Louris of The Jayhawks – Blue
Just before The Jayhawks reunited in 2009, the band’s two guitarists, Mark Olson and Gary Louris, combined forces to record an acoustic album titled Ready For The Flood. At subsequent performances the pair worked in Jayhawks classics to their set including Blue.
We showed us ours now you show us yours. Can you find clips featuring other pairs of guitarists from bands playing without anyone else?

Trey – TTE @ the Barn.
Probably the best version of this song.
Was going for bands with two guitarists, probably should’ve made that more clear.
