Indie singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson will release her highly-anticipated new album, "Everybody," on August 25th on her own Cabin 24 Records. "Everybody" is the eagerly-awaited follow-up to her 2007 release, "Girls and Boys," which spawned the hit single "The Way I Am" and launched Ingrid into the mainstream consciousness. The New York Times describes Michaelson’s unique musical approach as "soulful, idiosyncratic," while Rolling Stone loves her "sweet, mellow lounge-pop harmonies," and Entertainment Weekly hails Michaelson as "a deft mistress of quirk folk… a grassroots phenomenon."
On "Everybody" Michaelson showcases a matured point of view as she explores a new relationship with the idea of love, one that’s less crushed-out girl and more self-realized, independent woman. "’Everybody’ – which is about a big idea," explains Paste Magazine, "chronicles a relationship so intense and volatile that both lovers lose themselves within it. ‘Everybody’ is truly everybody’s."
Well known for her live performances that balance honest emotion with her own quirky humor, Ingrid will be heading out on a fall tour of intimate venues to present live for the first time brand new songs from her forthcoming album. While her fall tour schedule will be announced soon, dates have been confirmed for September 16th in New York, October 7th in Los Angeles and October 26th in Chicago.
