In one of the better pairings since cookies met cream, HT faves Perpetual Groove will bring DJ/HT contributor Wyllys on the road with them for a southern run that hits the Orange Peel in Asheville (10/21), The National in Richmond (10/22), the Music Farm in Charleston (10/23), the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh (10/29) as well as the band’s official Halloween show on October 30th at the Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville.

Look for Wyllys and PGroove to offer interlocking sets at each stop. Both Wyllys and Perpetual Groove guitarist Brock Butler will perform on Jam Cruise 9 in January and aim to use this time together to rehearse for the cruise.

Finally, as Phish prepares to return to the road the band has offered a free taste of their last tour via a compilation archivist Kevin Shapiro has put together called Live Bait, Vol. 2. This free-to-distribute set features the brilliant Down With Disease -> What’s The Use? from Alpine, as well as the Wilson > Light > 20 Years Later sequence from the Greek, Possum from Jones Beach, N02 > Kung from Deer Creek and Bug from Alpine.
