30 years ago today (10/22/90), Pearl Jam played their first ever show as Mookie Blaylock at the Off Ramp Cafe in Seattle. With the addition of Dave Krusen on drums, alongside Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, the band took the name Mookie Blaylock, in reference to the then-active All-Star basketball player. Soon later they signed to Epic Records and renamed themselves Pearl Jam and aside from a few drummer changes, the band still rocks on. Watch footage of the first show from 10/22/90.
