On Tuesday morning guitarist Dave Navarro and singer Perry Farrell confirmed rumors that Jane’s Addiction had found a new bassist with a picture posted to each of their respective Twitter accounts. That night, former Guns N’ Roses/ Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan made his live debut by jamming with a few members of the band at Farrell’s birthday party.
Farrell celebrated his birthday in style with a little shindig at Les Deux nightclub in Los Angeles. A video posted to YouTube and fan site JanesAddiction.com shows Farrell providing the entertainment at his own party by performing a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.” The video, as well as a few pictures posted to the fan site, also includes Navarro and McKagan.
