Happy 83rd birthday to blues legend Buddy Guy who was born on 7/30/36. As a leader in the Chicago electric blues, Buddy has influenced legions of guitarists including Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. Muddy Waters discovered Buddy while playing at clubs in Chicago, and helped him find work at the 708 Club and from there on Buddy became renowned. Buddy recorded hits from the 1960s through the ’80s, has won six Grammys and still tours actively today, where you can find him leaving the stage and playing inside the crowd each show.
