On December 6th and 7th, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will play Seattle’s McCaw Hall. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the shows – which will total an estimated one million dollars over the two nights -will be donated to charities selected by ticket purchasers, marking an unprecedented charitable initiative to engage fans in giving. For each $135 ticket purchased, the buyer will receive a $150 credit at www.justgive.org that can be directed to any charitable organization on JustGive.org that they wish to support. JustGive.org is a website that hosts over 1.8 million charities, so the purchaser has complete autonomy over the recipient of the funds.
Dave Matthews is the first musician to partner with JustGive.org on a campaign to drive charitable donations through his concerts. Ticket buyers are encouraged to have fun giving with their fellow concertgoers by making a collective donation with neighbors and friends at a mutual charity of interest, such as a local school, park, or favorite community organization. The donations will be funded by Matthews and a generous supporter in an effort to provide fans with an opportunity to help make a better world while enjoying an evening of live music.
The Warehouse fan association ticket request period for these shows opens at 6:00 PM ET today and will continue through November 1st at http://www.warehouse.davematthewsband.com/. The general public can purchase tickets beginning at 10:00 AM PT on November 6th at www.ticketmaster.com
