Yo La Tengo have announced that they will return with their 8 Nights of Hanukkah shows back to the Bowery Ballroom this year. The festivities are scheduled to take place from December 2-9, this string of performances will continue the tradition that was reinstated in 2017. The group brought back the holiday shows last year after taking a five-year hiatus due to the closing of Maxwell’s, the Hoboken, New Jersey locale that had been the location of the performances for over a decade. Special guests such as Jeff Tweedy, Bob Odenkirk, and Todd Barry made surprise appearances last year.
Yo La Tengo have also been added to Belle & Sebastian’s Boaty Weekender festival cruise that takes place from Aug. 8 through Aug. 12 of 2019. Mogwai, Japanese Breakfast, the Buzzcocks, Nilüfer Yanya, Kelly Lee Owens, and more will also perform.
