Jeff Tweedy releases his anticipated memoir LET’S GO (SO WE CAN GET BACK): A Memoir of Recording and Discording with Wilco, Etc.(Dutton; On-sale: November 13, 2018) and will be visiting New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Chicago in mid-November for his book tour. A list of the dates are below, with tickets at each venue on-sale today (Boston’s general on-sale date is this Friday). Each ticket includes access to Jeff Tweedy’s book talk/conversation and a signed copy of LET’S GO (SO WE CAN GET BACK). Additionally, a limited amount of tickets are available for personalized copies at select venues with the extra cost going to local charities.
Throughout LET’S GO (SO WE CAN GET BACK), Tweedy follows the course of his life using witty anecdotes, honest reflections, and shares conversations between himself and his family to reveal sides of his personality and creative process that his fans have never seen. Fans of Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, and Tweedy’s many other solo projects and collaborations will love the intimate behind-the-scenes look at life on and off the road, while all readers will enjoy the fresh and often unexpectedly funny voice that shares it all.
“Really the thing that pushed me to start writing songs is the same thing that compels me to keep writing songs today,” Tweedy writes. “I listen to music, new records, old favorites, the radio, anything, until I feel like I can’t take it anymore, I have to make something, or I’ll lose my mind. It’s as simple as that. Even when I believe I’ll never be able to make something even remotely as perfect or beautiful as what I’m hearing, I can’t just sit there and let that challenge go unanswered.”
In addition to his memoir, Jeff Tweedy’s new solo album WARM will be released November 30, 2018 on dBpm Records.

One Response
The event in Chicago last night was very underwhelming and poorly organized. Ticket holders were made to stand outside for over an hour in cold. Nothing was explained. The event started 30 minutes late. The interviewer was HORRIBLE. His questions were uninteresting and downright stupid, with a lot of emphasis on himself. I was expecting a reading by Jeff- never happened. He played three songs and left at the end of the excruciating “conversation.” I don’t know how they could in good conscience charge $30 or $40 a ticket, given the content. Additionally, I had no idea each ticket holder got a book. That means now that we have three copies in the same household. Very disappointing, although I don’t hold Tweedy himself responsible.
