The 61st annual Grammy Awards Presentation took place Sunday night (2/11/19) in Los Angeles, and as is in most years, the televised portion is reserved for the big industry money making award presentations, while a smaller ceremony took place earlier in the night awarding less mainstream genres. Although there was a nice live performance tribute to Aretha Franklin and a hot St Vincent/Dua Lip performance, the night belonged to Brandi Carlile with her stellar live performance and taking home three awards- Americana Album of the Year (By the Way, I Forgive You), Best American Roots Song (The Joke) and Best American Roots Performance (The Joke).
