Maggie Rogers has been riding an ever-growing wave for the past three years. First as an unintended breakout viral hit, followed by a record deal, a world tour behind her first EP Now That the Light Is Fading and most recently a full debut album, “Heard It In A Past Life” landing at number two on the Billboard 200. Rogers is currently in the midst of a sold out much larger set of tour dates on her spring tour behind the debut and due to the tour’s success has added a full set of even bigger venue dates to an upcoming fall tour.
Below are photos from Maggie’s sold out stop at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom from March 29th. It marks a homecoming of sorts for the NYU grad and fans made sure to let her know from the moment she stepped on stage to an explosive wave of applause. It’s clear Roger’s fans feel invested in her success and if Maggie’s glowing smile was any indication it seems she is keen to let them propel the current wave to even higher heights.
The stop is her largest date yet in NYC and will be followed by two nights at Radio City Music Hall in October 2019, those dates went on-sale the morning of the Hammerstein show and sold out before she even hit the stage that night. In-between NYC dates Rogers will play larger US festivals including Coachella and Woodstock 50 and run a string of international dates ranging from Ireland to New Zealand.
At this rate, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Roger’s play a select set of arena size dates in early 2020. A headlining date at NYC’s Madison Square Garden seems well within reach and would set yet another high watermark for young star’s career.
