King Crimson has just announced a long-awaited 2020 Summer Tour with The Zappa Band (whose lineup includes alumni of Frank Zappa’s band). Following their 50th anniversary tour last year, those who thought King Crimson had seen its final touring days were wrong.
King Crimson’s current lineup is bandleader Robert Fripp joined by Mel Collins, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, Jakko Jakszyk, and Jeremy Stacey.
The Zappa Band’s lineup is Ray White (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Keneally (guitar, keys, vocals), Scott Thunes (bassist) and Robert Martin (keyboards, sax, vocals), and this tour also includes ZPZ alums Jamie Kime (guitar) and ZAPPA archivist Joe “Vaultmeister” Travers (drums, vocals).
