VIDEO PREMIERE: Million Lands Form Encapsulating Instrumental Opus Via “The Ochre World”

Million Lands is composed of drummer Kid Millions (Man Forever, Oneida) and trombonist/electronics/guitarist Benjamin Lanz (Beirut, The National) and are gearing up for the release for their first record The Ochre World this Friday, April 24th.

The duo has had a long history beyond the release of this first recording and its well worth the wait as it took some years for Kid and Ben to settle into a regular basement noise hang. What came out of these rolling-tape sessions could be described as a post-instrumental haze of dubbed out, free referentialism touching on a myriad of reference points – from Bitches Brew to Disintegration. Kid and Lanz have made a priority out of subverting traditional approaches to their instruments and weave this energy together for their first mind-blowing release on Ernest Jenning Record Co.

Glide is thrilled to premiere the video for the title track “The Ochre World” an encapsulating nine-minute musical easel board that permeates with apocalyptic shrills of an early ’80s B Side from The Cure. As a musical duo Kid Millions paint musical portraits that make for an ideal musical soundtrack.
