Odd Postures is a Toronto based indie-electronic rock band composed of drummer Calvin Castellino, guitarist Mark Anderson, and singer/keyboardist Matthew O’Halloran.

Built on an inviting and sturdy vocal performance, by O’Halloran, we find powerful harmonies colliding on the back of a restrained and warm rhythm section. Odd Postures exhibits a deep sense of dynamic movement while combining concise lyrical design: a riveting alt-rocker in line with Two Door Cinema Club and The 1975.
“The song was written as an attempt to revisit the awkward energy of my first high-school dance. It’s not autobiographical but I did steal a lot from what I remember. In this case, it was in rural Ontario and the attendance was only about 50-75 students. I remember having a lot of contrasting emotions; fear, excitement, bewilderment, nervous-joy. I think you can hear some of the anxiety in the guitars. They have a certain level of assertiveness but there’s some obvious trepidation there as well. I didn’t notice it at the time, but the kick drum seems to mimic a sort-of, scattered heartbeat,” says O’Halloran.
