LISTEN: Me Auld Flower Paints Serene Folk Portrait Via “Fr. Griffin Avenue”

Me Auld Flower is a songwriter living and recording in the wilderness of Connemara in the west of Ireland. The song, ‘Fr. Griffin Avenue’ is Me Auld Flower’s first new music since last year’s album ‘The Vaults of Consciousness’, and a harbinger of it’s sister album ‘The Vaults of Consciousness, Volume II’. This collection will be preceded by a number of singles and released later in the year.

Ethereal and kaleidoscopic, “Fr. Griffin Avenue” is the new single from Me Auld Flower. Melodically delightful, the vocal sits nicely in the mix, as rippling guitar lines direct the flow, presenting itself as a colorful and intimate folk portrait.

Me Auld Flower says “I wrote and recorded Fr. Griffin Avenue, like the forthcoming album to which it belongs, in isolation during the great incident of 2020. The song is an ode to inconspicuous streets and the fleeting moments to which they bear witness. I wanted the song to have an ephemeral sound to match that, to feel like it had come and gone in an instant, and then vanished into the cosmos.”
