75 years ago today (11/5/46), the late Gram Parsons who cooked up a mad stew of alt-country before it became a thang, was born in Winter Haven, FL. Years later he’d don the famous nudie suit and make a run of stellar albums solo and with The Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers that remains essentially relevant in today’s crowded Americana scene.
