James Murphy and LCD Soundsystem went overseas for a 6-night residency at the Brixton Academy in London. The Dance-rock hybrid played a 17-song set to start off their stint in the U.K. and the setlist was filled with fan favorites. This residency comes as no surprise, LCD Soundsystem has been sticking to one venue for a couple of days at a time dating back to November. The London term comes after residencies in Philadelphia, Boston, and their hometown of Brooklyn.
Per usual, the set featured James Murphy’s bellowing voice projecting lyrics from his arsenal of up-tempo dance records. The band kicked off the night with “Get Innocuous!” from their 2007 album Sound Of Silver before songs from their debut album took over a majority of the night. They closed the night with a shortened version of “Dance Yrself Clean” and “All My Friends”.
Besides some repositioning of songs and the addition here or there, it seems like LCD Soundsystem is carrying on the same career-spanning setlist from one residency to the other.

I was definitely a big, brave boy and definitely didn't tear up when they started lighting up the disco ball, flooding the room with sparkles. It's been nearly 1,000 days since I was last at a gig, and it feels so good to be doing it all again! #LCDSoundsystem #BrixtonAcademy pic.twitter.com/pcXRPhXJON

They finished with "All My Friends" – a slam dunk desert island disc of mine, if ever I am asked. There was so much joy in that room tonight too and is a night I will truly remember for a very long time indeed! #LCDSoundsystem #BrixtonAcademy @lcdsoundsystem @O2AcademyBrix pic.twitter.com/gjJkMruck4
